Applications

Calcination
Decomposes chemical species under controlled atmosphere. Suitable for powders, pellets, or extrudates. Features high temperature, precise temperature control, and controlled gas atmosphere.
Gas-solid reaction
Interaction between gas and solid forming new substances.
Heat-treatment
Heats products to a defined temperature to achieve their full properties (polycondensation, silicone modification…).
Stripping
Removal of undesired compounds from bulk solids using sweeping gas and heat. Suitable for catalysts, adsorbents, shredded Lithium-ion batteries, rubber, and polymers.
Drying / Ultradrying
Removal of water from bulk solids through direct heating and heated air injection. Suitable for various bulk solids with different moisture levels. Very low residual moisture (down to ppm values).
Thermal desorption / Distillation
Precise distillation of volatile compounds from solids through controlled temperature and gas flow. Sorbents like activated carbons can be regenerated at high temperatures in the absence of air.
